PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) TE AROHA, this day. Mr. W. E. Lowry presided at the September meeting of the Piako County Council yesterday. It was decided to apply for a Government subsidy of. £500 for metalling work required at the county boundary of the Kiwitahi-Cambridge road. : The engin e'er reported that work had been started on the Morrinsville riding contract, and in reconstruction from the Waiharakeke end. The question of heavy traffic fees as applied to farmers: carting, milk to factories was discussed. It was stated the Norfolk . Park Dairy, Company and the bouth Auckland Dairy Company were .taking up the matter, as it was considered unfair that farmers paying rates on special loans for roads should be called upon to pay heavy traffic fees on the same thoroughfares. \
