Bananas are lower than last r week, but are not yet plentiful. A general I ™ re ° of fruit arrived by the Ulimaroa. Mandarins realised 4/ to 8/ per case, and y pines 12/ to 14/. Prices are:—Apples: Delicious, 4/ to 8/ 3 per case; Sturmers, 6/ to 8/6; Dougherty, i iL to 7 / 6; Munroes, 4/ to 6/; Ballarats, 6/6 to 7/; Granny Smiths, 7/6 to 9/6; Pride of Australia, 4/6 to 8/; Rome Beauty, 4/ to 6/6. Pears: Nellis, 9/ to > 13/6; P. Barrys, 5/ to 7/6; Easter Beurres, 3 4/6 to 5/6. Hothouse tomatoes: 8d to 1/3 t lb. Tree tomatoes: 2/6 to 6/; dark variety, j 6/' to 8/. Lemons: Choice, cured, 10/ to I 12/; others, tree ripe, 4/ to 7/6. Passions: Local, 8/ to 13/; Australian, 16/ to 20/. Grapefruit: Local, large sizes, picked counts, 9/ to 10/; medium and small, 5/ to 6/. Poorman oranges: Large, 6/ to - 7/; small, 2/ to 3/. Though not as plentiful as a little while . ago, cauliflowers are not now scarce. The market is still heavily supplied with cabbage, lettuce and celery. A few peas and beans are appealing.
