TAUPIRI CLUB,
A special meeting of the Taupiri Bowling Club was recently held to consider the provision of a croquet lawn for the ladies in recognition of their services during- the queen carnival. The president, Mr. G. Horwood. presided. ' It was -finally decided to purchase a section . adjoining .the bowling green for the. purpose of forming a croquet, lawn. . The following committee was elected to proceed with the work: Messrs. li. T. Hill, G. I-Torwood and .T. Madigan. A match committee comprising Messrs.Hill. C.- M. Gleeson and J.
