The Operatic / Society's rooms were used for a carnival on Saturday night, when the host, Mr. Percy Dawes, gave •the Athenian Club members and their guests <a "back to childhood night." The stage wag set as a nursery, with freize and dado of nursery 'rhymes, swings,' cots and every kind of toy dear to the heart of children. Child impersonations were rendered by Misses Pringle, Moore, Nina Scott, Bennetto and Elton Black. A humorous jazz band was conducted by Mr. J. Hayden. Among those present were: Mns. W.
