NEW PLYMOUTH EXPERIMENT.

A reduction of tramway fares, with the object of increasing the traffic and revenue, to overcome the small annual loss, was tried in New Plymouth without success. After the lower fares had been in operation a few months the loss increased, and the Borough Council this evening decided to revert to the previous scale of fares. . '
