PRESBYTERIANS AT WORK.
The annual report of the Auckland Presbyterian Orphanages and Social ■Service Association,V is outlined- in a statement just furnished. The Rev. George Budd,r Moderator, comments favourably on the incorporation of the work of Sister Esther with that of the organisation, and also on the value of the Manna House. -. The matron of .the Leslie Home reports thai 54 children i are, maintained there, and another 30 boye in the Onehunga Home. . _ v > - > Sister Esther /reports;, that over nine tons of groceries were purchased from warehouses and distributed to the sick and needy. The" mission ,is assisting 1200 mothers and children, and also had on the rolls 192 aged folk. During, the year Sister Esther received £1155 in donations.
