WESTERN CHORAL UNION.
A series of successful concerts has been concluded by the Western Choral Union. The first- concert was given at St. Andrew's Hall, New Lynn, on August 23 last, and this was followed by performances at Henderson on August 28, and Glen Eden on September 3. On each occasion interesting and varied programmes were presented to appreciative audiences. The union intends to commence practices of the "Messiah" on Monday nest, and the conductor ie making an appeal for more voices.
