KNOX CLUB
(From Our Own Correspondent.) MORRINSVILLE, Friday. At the annual meeting of the Knox Church Tennis Club, Morrinsville, it was stated that the club had a membership of 37 last season. The financial position of the club was satisfactory. The following officers were elected : — President, Rev. J. H. Starnes; vice-presi dent, Mr. E. Ennis; secretary, _ Miss M. Bremner: treasurer. Mrs. Ennis: committee, Misses D. Bright. D. Arudt, G. Mock. R. Johnstone, M. Bremner and Mrs. Ennis, Rev. Starnes. Messrs. H. J. Barford, \V. Morrice and E. Ennis. MERCER CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) MERCER, Friday. The president, Mr. M. M. Enting, presided at the annual meeting of the Mercer Tennis Club. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £9 18/7. It was reported that the club had won the Massey Cup, open for competition for B grade club in Franklin. It was decided to have a pavilion erected immediately. Officers elected were:—President, Mr. Enting; secretary, Mr. A. E. Laing; committee, Messrs. J. L. McFad/.ean, A, W. Worley, Mesdames Laing, Kerr, ,T. Kennedy and Miss Calvert. The opening day is October 11.
