OVERLOADED SCOW.

Charged with plying a scow with the load-line submerged, W. Aspden was fined £5 and costs by Mr. P. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court this morning. Mr. V. N. Hubble, who appeared for informant, said defendant was npt appearing, but he pleaded guilty. The inspector of ships said the scoxv was four inches overloaded with a cargo of sand. On two other occasions defendant had been stopped from leaving port because he was overloaded.
