CREW OF TAHITI.

EMPLOYMENT HARD TO FIND-

"VERY UNFORTUNATE TIME. , '

TWO MAIL BAGS FOUND.

WELLINGTON, Thursday,

In view of the number of vessels on New Zealand articles at present laid up, Mr. T. Walsh, president of the Federated Seamen's Union, says the crew of the Tahiti have been thrown out of employment at a very unfortunate time, their prospects of finding positions being far from promising.

The post office authorities have received advice that two bags of registered mail from Dunedin and Oamaru which were reported to be missing when the Tahiti was abandoned have been found among the mail that was saved.
