WAIHI RETURN.

WAIHI, this day. The following information has been cabled to London: —For the period ended f o u £"st 123, comprising 22 crushing days, ib,041 tons of ore were crushed, for tho result of 0220 fine ounces of gold and 35.054 iiue ounces of silver. This includes 1951 tons mined from the Grand Junction area, which yielded 773 ounces of gold and 5205 ounces of silver; also 2G ounces, of gold and 280 ounces of silver from residues from the site of the old Waihi mill. The superintendent reports :—No. 9 level, Martha lode, in Grand Junction area: Driving east the next five feet assays 40/9 per ton, and the next 28 feet is small, composed of sulphide veins, averaging 9/ per ton over the width of drive. No. 10 level. State reef in Grand Junction area : Driving east the next 52 feet assays 45/0 per ton, th« width _of the lode varies from lft to 3ift and is dipping one in one to northwest.
