DUNEDIN, this day,

Mr. W. H. Mackenzie, the Dunedin City Corporation's tramway manager, ■who has returned from Australia after •attending, a conference, of tramways managers, states that some of the Australian tramways are down over 8 per cent in their revenue, which is worse than the 1 per cent loss to date on the year's trading of the Dunedin trams. The loss in Australia is the result of very severe .traffic opposition. .
