While a light car was continuing its record-breaking run irom Auckland to Jnvereargill this morning it skidded in shingle on the Greta Cutting, Noith Canterbury, and somersaulted down the bank. The driver, A. McDonald, was unhurt, but the observer, 11. Cuthbertson, was unconscious for 20 minutes. He recovered later. The car got back to the road under its own power and proceeded on its journey.
