WHITFORD CALF CLUB.
The half-yearly parade of the 'J™'®"* Calf Club was conducted by the Auckland A and 1 -? Association at Whitford on Saturday afternoon. Perfect weather prevailed, and a large number _ of peop e from Whitford and neighbouring districts attended. The judging was done by Mr. K. Waterhouse, of Ardmore. The following awards were made :-Pedigree Jersey yearling: Buth Bales 1. Colin Booker 2, *orMeagher 3, Noel Booker 4. Best marked grade Jersey yearling: Ray Booker ?Tvranliire 2, Christopher Steele 3, F \fninr 4 Best Ayrshire ditto : Edith in-'flr l Best handled exhibit (first prize, trophy presented by Mr. A. J. Stratford Auckland; second prize, trophy Presented bF Mr! S. Hamlin, Panmure) : Gordon Manhire 1, Huth Eales 2, Ray Booker 3, C. S e 4 prizes for the best kept set of records of the feeding of the respective were awarded as follow: C. H. &er I N- B. Booker 2, B. Millar 3, N. Millar 4, B. Booker o. During the afternoon Mr. J. Meagher referred to the strides being made by the rlub The competition was of interest and education not only to the children but also to the parents. Ihe Auckland A. and P. Association was represented by Messrs. S. Hamlin and J. Meyer, and the managing secretary, Mr. W. P. O'Donnell
