GOLF.
ROTORUA CHAMPIONSHIPS. PLAY COMMENCED THIS MORNING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ROTORUA, this day. The Rotorua Golf Club's open amateur tournament was opened this morning. The limit was eighty competitors. The weather is cold and cloudy, but there is a. good light and the course is in splendid order.
There will be two qualifying rounds, the first-16 will contest the championship; the second sixteen will compete for tlje B Division Cup. Twenty of the players are under the four handicap, and fifty are single-figure competitors.

The inter-club mateh with Middlemore arranged for the forthcoming week-end has been postponed.
