RUGBY UNION METHODS.
FLUTTER. AT THAMES
OPEN DISCUSSION DESIRED.
(By Telegraph.—Own correspondent.') ! THAMES, this day.
A most emphatic protest was registered yesterday evening by Mr. A. Delamore, delegate from the City Club, against the Thames Rugby Union's practice of going into committee. Mr. Delamore stated that the union's methods lost them the aonfidenee of players and public, especially since he found that the matter which had been discussed in committee by the union the previous evening was a common topic of conversation on the street the following morning. Tho chairman, in the course of a heated reply, stated that he was fed up with the whole thing. Players were never so well treated as this year.
After much discussion the meeting went into committee to discuss an unread letter.
It was stated this morning that the matter discussed was the means whereby it might he possible to retain the services of one outstanding player by finding him work in the district, so that he would be available to play against Hamilton in the Peace Cup match on September 20.

Both expressed, the opinion that the hurt was serious.
