N.Z. CROSS-COUNTRY TITLES AUCKLAND HARRIERS CHOSEN.
The New Zealand cross-country championship -will be held over a 6i uiiles course at Wellington next Satnrday. Auckland will be represented by tUe following team .-—Cooper. Nicholson, Browne. Barker and Montgomery. The team will leave Auckland by train next Thursday night.
OTAGO'S CHANCES.
The chances of Otago in the New Zeiland cross-country championship next week are favoured by a well-known former runner, Mr. A. Melville, now of Wellington, who witnessed the Wellington championship last week. He thinks Otago should regain the tcajr" titl". and is optimistic concerning the chances of J. G. Barries, the Otago champion.
