CHURCH UNITY.
The series of discussions for the.cultivation of the spirit of unity among churches, was continued at the meeting of the Auckland Ministers' Association yesterday. The Rev. H. L. Richards speaking from the Methodist viewpoint' said .that the doctrines of all the lice churches were for all practical purposes the same. The Methodists had, however, the system for stationing ministers' under which every one was guaranteed an appointment and changes of pastorates could ho arranged at (lie close of every year if desired.
The Rev. George lieighwav. a Coni'vogationalist, said that in NewTestainent times all the churches were under , the congregational form of government Each congregation managed its own affairs, and the doctrine of the Church was, in essentials unity, in non-essen-tials, libertv.
