CAR AND TRAIN IN COLLISION.

VEHICLE CARRIED SEVENTY FEET.

TWO LADIES INJURED.

WANGANUI, this day.

A, motor car collided with the Castlecliff Railway Company's train at a crossing this morning, and the car was carried 70 feet by the engine. The driver of the ear, W. J. Gilberd, escaped injury, but Misses Edna Crease and Gladys Jones, both passengers, were injured, the former sustaining a broken arm and collarbone, and the latter bodily injuries. Both ladies are ill hospital.
