TIMBER DUTIES.
Australian Increases on
Imports.
NEW SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED.

CANBERRA, this day,
Tho Minister of Customs, Mr. J. E. Fenton, has announced the new schedule duties on imported timbers. The rate on oregon logs is increased from five to 30 per cent, on undressed sawn oregon 8/ to 14/ per 100 super feet. There are also slight increases made on timber other than redwood or cedar.
