SYDNEY, this day.

Stories of the days of horror during the Burma riots were related by Mrs. N. Freeman on her arrival from Rangoon. She said that once four natives were caught by an infuriated mob near her husband's house and disemembered before her eyes.

The attackers used long cane knives. They cut off their victims' arms to prevent retaliation in the next world. Another practice was to amputate every finger and arrange them in a circle around the corpse.
