PADLOCK TOPS LIST. MR. MITCHELL LEADING OWNER. The usual list of statistics compiled at'the end of each season by the "New Zealand Referee " make very interesting reading. The honour of topping the'list of winning owners in the matter- ot stakes this season goes to Mr. J. A. Mitchell, whose horses have earned £4534. Padlock iethe best winner, with £2387, while the leading sire is once ao-ain Nelson Bingen, whose stock scored 74 wine and £18,637 in stake money.
