..) MANGERE EAST CLUB. The annual general meeting of the Mangere East Tennis Club was held in the Mangere East Ilall last night when there was a. fair attendance of members. The annual report stated that the club had enjoyed a successful season from a playing point, while several Improvements to tho courts had been carried out. The membership of the club had tfhown an increase over tho previous year, a pleasing feature' being tho number of young players taking up the game. As some of these showed pro mi kg it augurs well for the future of the club. While the income and expenditure account showed a loss ou tho year's working it was considered very satisfactory in view of tho improvements carried out and which will not be a recurring expenditure. ■ | The following officers were elected for the ensuing year President, Mr. S. W. House; vice-president, Mr. 0. R. Self; hott, vicepresidents, Messrs, W. W. Massey, D. Kay, .T. Somen;. G. Massey and J. Clark; club captain, K. It. Ivay; hon. secretary-treas-urer, C. R. Reader; committee, Misses D. Blandford, K. Reynolds, I. Pheasant, C. Newson and G. Clark, Messrs. F. G. Duncan, D. .Tames, L. Kay, R. Pheasant and L. Knight; ground superintendent, C. R. Reader; hon. auditor, J. Clark; delegates to Auckland Lawn Tennis Association, Messrs. C. R. Reador, and O. Self.

MAUKU CLUB. The president, Mr. J. F. Davles, was chairman at the annual meeting of the Mauku Tennis Club. The following officers were elected: —President. Mr. Davies; vicepresident, Mr. L. Knight; secretary, Mr. K. Cutfield; treasurer, Mrs. Swinbourn; committee, Mesdames Downes, Cutfiold, Miss Zinzan, Messrs. Gillon, L. Clark, K. .Tones and C. Willis; ground committee, Messrs. N. Gillon,'.Tones aud Willis; selectors, Mrs. Swinbourne, Miss Zinzan and Mr. K, Cutlield; auditor, Mr. H. M. Crlspe. It was decided to open the season on October 4.
