Mackenzie's three-year-old Mintage,'by Catmint from Lady Penury, won the first division of the Flying Handicap, six furlongs, at Canterbury Park, Sydney, last Thursday. He was ridden hy T. Webster, and, shooting to the front at the start, Avas still clear at the half-mile. When ho turned for home he had a lead of five lengths'and won by that margin from Lady O'Clare and Prince Otto, an ex-New Zealander. He was at a double-figure .price _ with the bookmakers. Mintage, who is trained > )V T A. Williams at Randwick, is a full-brother to Rosshire, who raced well at Trentham last week. Rosshire is also owned'by Mr. Mackenzie,
