DRASTIC REORGANISATION.

Compulsory Post-Primary Courses Till Age of Fifteen. COMMITTEE'S RECOMMENDATIONS. SINGLE CONTROL OF ADMINISTRATION.

What will probably become known as the Atmore report on education was laid on the table of the House of Representatives by the Hon. H. Atmore, Minister of Education, to-day. It embodies the recommendations of the Select Committee set up last session with a direction to report comprehensively on New Zealand's system of education. If adopted by the Government, the recommendations will involve complete recasting of the administrative side of primary, technical and secondary education, the raising of the compulsory school age by one year to 15, and other important reforms.
