INTOXICATED CAR DRIVEKS. FINE OF £15 AT PALMEPSTON. (By 'JMogrnpu. —Press Association.) PALME RSTON N, this day. "These cases are getting far too frequent," observed the magistrate when convicting W. H. Lacey, a salesman, on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor car. "Every day," added the magistrate, "one reads in the newspapers of similar cases. They must be stopped." Defendant was lined i.M, and his license was cancelled for six months.
