FIRE IN QUEEN STREET.

STOCK BADLY DAMAGED. An outbreak of fire in the storeroom of Messrs. F. S. Morton and Co., general merchants, 13 and lb', Phoenix Chambers, Queen Street, resulted in extensive damage to stock, about 10.30 last evening. The :Ciry Brigade answered the call, and subdued the flames after some difficulty. The .-sto.'k consisted of separators, radio-sets and general electric apparatus, •valued at £4000, and insured for £2000 in the Standard Office. REMTJEEA OUTBREAK. The Avail of a washhouse adjoining the residence owned and occupied by Mrs. E. F. Oldhas. of 3, Maurice Avenue, Bemuera, was damaged by fire early this morning. The Reinuera Brigade quickly suppressed the outbreak. There its an insurance of £1050 on the house with the Phoenix Insurance Company. I
