BEDROOM RANSACKED. THIEF ENTERS BY WINDOW. Early last night a thief entered the house of Mrs. Curtis, 22, Ariki Street, Newton, .and stole about £3 in money, which had been left on the dressingtable in a bedroom. The occupants of the house were at home when the thief entered, but no one heard any suspicious sounds. The robbery was discovered about 9.30. The thief entered by a bedroom window, which was open. "He ransacked a chest of drawers in the .bedroom, and -left its contents scattered about. He also searched clothing 'for money. It is stated that a passer-by saw a man emerge from the window about 9.30 'p.m. _^^
