RIFLE SHOOTING.

.PAEROA MINIATURE CLUB. Members of the Paeroa Miniature Rifle Club held the third and final shoot for a trophy donated by the Paeroa Hardware Company and Messrs. Tlsdall, Limited, of Auckland. Shooting was keen throughout and some good scores resulted. The conditions were three separate nights' shooting with fresh handicaps for each night, but only two shoots were allowed to count In the final aggregate. The limit of each shoot was 100 with the handicap. After the first two nights Mr. P. C. Hubbard, the president, was in the lead with the possible number of points, 200, having obtained 97 off the rifle with a handicap of 3 on each night. , Five others, who had reached the 100, and required to obtain the limit on the third night to tie with the leader, failed. Mr. W. Ainscough was close up second with 199, He obtained 99 on the first night and 100 on the final night with his handicap. Following are the scores for the three nights:—P. C. Hubbard 200, W. Ainscough 199, W. Halllgan, E. Turton, jun., 197, A. A. Jenktnson 196, J. Jaspers 195, A. Slm-monds-194, E. Turton, sen., John Morrison 192, M. Charlesworth' 191, P. Patterson, H. A. Morrison 190, L. Morris 188, A. B. Pearson IS7, E. Mead 184, C. Millar 181. The scores also counted for a trophy donated by Mr. A. "E, Pearson, a member of the club. Mr. W. Ainsworth was the winner, by registering a fine score off the rifle of 98, which with his handicap brought him .up to the limit. The scores were as follow:—W. Ainscough, 98, 2—loo ; John Morrison, 90, 7—97; H. A. Morrison, 93, 3—96; A. A. Jenkinson, 91, 5—96; A. Sirnmondis, 91, 4—95; E. Turton, sen., 91, 3—94; P. C. Hubbard, 91, 2—93; M. Charlesworth, 86, 7—93 ; A. E. Pearson, 90, 2—92; E. Turton, jun., 80, 12—92; W. Halligan, 86, 5—91; E. Mead, 86, 4—90 ; P. Patterson, 82. S—9o; J. Jaspers, 78, 12—90; L. Morris, 184, 4—88; C. Millar, 74, 13—87.
