Boxing Registration.
The Conditions for Suggested Entrance Fee. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)' DUNEDIN, Friday. The rules of the New Zealand Boxing Association provide for registration by the council through the local associations of all amateur boxers, but from what the secretary, Harry Divers, of the Otago Boxing Association states, this rule seems to be more honoured in the breach than in the (bservancc. He suggests that some go-od would be served if the council were to charge each boxer a registration fee of one shilling. This would entitle him to the benefits of the insurance fund. In this way anything up to £100 a year might be obtained throughout New Zealand. Certainly it seems time that rules were properly enforced, for the reference to the registration of amateur boxers is an important one, as it stipulates that each man must sign a declaration to the effect that he is an amateur.
