MANGERE CLUB'S TROPHIES,

The annual dance and distribution of prizes of the Mangere Central and Mangere East Tennis Clubs was held in the Mangere East Hall last night, when there was a good attendance of members of both clubs. In the absence of Mr. S. W. House, president of the Mangere East Club, Mr. M. Kirkbride, president of the Mangere Central Club, distributed the various trophies, while Mr. C. R. Reader handed the House Inter-club Cup to Mr. Kirkbride, and congratulated the Central Club on having won the cup two years in succession. Other trophies distributed were as follows Mangere East Club.—La'dies' singles championship, Miss B. Solomon; runnerup, Miss A. Crookes. Men's singles championship, C. B. Chalmers. Ladies' junior championship (House Cup), Miss B. Newson. Men's junior championship (House Cup), C. B. Chalmers. Ladies' singles handicap, Miss B. Solomon; runner-up, Miss I. Thomson. Men's singles handicap, M. D. Nash. Ladies' doubles handicap, Misses K. and R. Reynolds. Men's doubles handicap. L. Kay and D. James. . Combined doubles handicap, Miss B. Solomon and Solomon. First year players' championship, Miss M. Burns and A. Thomson. Junior championships, Mangere Central for House Cup, Miss M. Bottrill and I. Ellett.
