BOWLING COUNCIL

TEAM TO VISIT BRISBANE. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Bowling Council concluded yesterday afternoon. A suggestion from the Auckland Centre that the rules of the association be altered so as to provide members attending the first meeting of each newly elected council with £1 per day allowance was adopted. Previously members were entitled to travelling expenses only. Ah invitation to send a New Zealand team to • compete in a tournament at Brisbane next year was accepted. The number of rinks to be sent will be decided by the executive. The matter of the publication of the "Bowlers' Year Book" was referred to the executive. Members of the council were entertained by Mr. J. M. Thomson at a theatre party and supper last evening.
