PROBATION FOR SALESMAN". "This man was trained as an accountant, but unable to get employment, had taken work as a canvasser for show cards," said Chief Detective Hammond in the Police Court this morning, when Dugald Creighton, aged 37, described as a, salesman, was charged on two counts of failing to account. Two sums, one of £1 5/ and the other of £1 10/, were involved. Chief Detective Hammond said that accused had obtained money but had failed to account to his firm for it. He had submitted bogus orders to his firm, in order to make them think he wa3 some good at his work. He was a married man and had never been before the Court before. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., placed Creighton on probation for twelve months.
