WEDDINGS OF THE DAY.

MITCHELL—ALLAN. St. Andrew's Church, Symonds Street, was prettily decorated in heath and white ribbons last evening for the wedding of Mitsa Isabel Elizabeth Munro, only daughter of Mrs. Munro, of "Maritana," Symonds Street, to Mr. Allan Mitchell, of Dunedin. The Rev. Ivan Bertram performed the ceremony. Mr. Craston presided at the organ. The bride was given away by Mr. A. Boddington, and wore a frock of briar rose pink ■ paone velvet, made on simple lines, with pink velvet and tulle headdress, trimmed with sprays of orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of pink flowers. The I bridesmaid in attendance was Miss Kath-1 leen Arnold, who was in a gown of beige | lace and georgette over flesh pink crepe de chine. The close fitting pink felt hat was accompanied by a shower bouquet of pink flowers. The best man was Mr. R. CantelL A reception was held at the lona Tearooms, which were arranged in pink flowers. Mrs. Munro wore a marocain wool crepe de chine, with velvet hat and carried a shower- bouquet to tone. mollgJard—bell. The wedding was celerated in the Methodist Church, Tauranga, on Wednesday afternoon, of Miss Mabel Alexandria Bell, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Bell, of Tauranga, and Mr. Hans August Mollgaard, second son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Mollgaard, of Te Pnke. The Rev. H. G. Brown performed the ceremony, and Mr. Cyril Anderson played the wedding music. The church was prettily decorated by friend 3of the bride. The bride, given away by her father, wore white georgette and silk net. The tight-fitting corsage, was trimmed with silver, and the full skirt fell in soft folds to the ankles. Her silver embroidered veil formed a train, and was held to the head by a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of roses, chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. Miss Gladys Bell, sister of the bride, attended as chief bridesmaid, and Miss Rita Pickett, cousin of the bride, also attended as bridesmaid. Joan Bell was a little flower girl, sister of the bride. Mr. Rudolph Mollgaard was best man, and Mr. Eric Bell,"brother of the bride, groomsman. TAYLOR—DUNN. The wedding of Miss Barbara Siadeei. Dunn, only daughter of Mr. and Mr.--Wynn Dunn, of Panmure, to Mr. Re Vernon Taylor, second son of Mr. am Mrs. Taylor, New Plymouth, was celebrated on Saturday evening at St.. Andrew's Church. The Rev. W. S. Piatt performed the ceremony. The bride wore an ivory satin, dipping to the ankles at the back. A Juliet cap of orange blossom buds held the Brussels net veil jn place, and she carried a shower boquet of white flowers. Miss Coralie Kay was the bridesmaid, and she wore an apricot : crepe fieuri with deep cape draped from the shoulders. A soft felt of the same shade was turned off the face, and an autumn toned shower bouquet was carried. The flower girl, Marion Thompson, wore mauve crepe de chine, theskirt having pin tucks and small folds. The felt hat and Victorian posy were of the same tones. Mr. J. Taylor was best man. The reception was held at the Domain Kiosk. The wedding was arranged to embrace the anniversary of the bride's mother's silver wedding, Mrs. Dunn, who wore a black'satin trimmed with beige and a black felt hat, and carried, a shower bouquet. THOMPSON—MORTENSEN. The wedding was celebrated at St. George's Anglican Church, Epsom, on "May 27 of Miss Vera Marie Mortensen, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Morj tensen, of Kipling Avenue, Epsom, to | Mr. John Murray Thompson, only so a of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Thompson,*ot .Motumaoho, Morrinsville. Rev. J. L. Litt performed the ceremony. -

WALKER—WILLS. A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell, . on June 7. when Marjorie Emma, youngest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. H. W. Wills, of Luke Street, Otahuhu, was married to Robert Ernest, only son of Mrs. and the late Mr. R. Walker, of Panmure Road, Otahuhu. Canon Fancourt officiated. The bride wore an ivory georgette frock, with trimmings of silver and an uneven hem. Her dainty embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom and fell j in soft folds to form a train. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies. Miss j Marabell Walker, sister of the bridegroom, attended the bride, and wore a duchess blue crepe de chine frock, with an uneven hem. Her headdress was a band of tulle, finished with a bow at the side, and she carried a sheaf of daisies. REID—CONNING. *St. Mark's Church, Te Aroha, was the scene of a wedding on Wednesday, when Miss Lillian Erissa, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Conning, Waihou, was joined in wedlock to Mr. Charles Percy Reid, third son of Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Reid, late of Waipuku, Taranaki. but now of Chudleigh. The Rev. R..L. Connolly officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was attired in a gown of white crepe de claine with pointed flared, lace embroidered with pearls. Her embroidered veil was worn in "Juliet cap" style. She wore dainty silver shoes, and carried a bouquet of cream chrysanthemums and i asparagus fern. The bridesmaids, Miss Violet Conning and Miss Eva Hubert, wore green and pink crepe de chine with flounced skirts, and felt hats to tone, and carried bouquets. Mr. E. Reid, brother to the bridegroom, was best man. Mr. Cyril Teaz, of Ngarua, was groomsman. BAKER—FAGAN. The wedding was celebrated at Knox Presbyterian Church, Morrinsville, on Thursday, of Miss Hazel Evelyn Fagan. second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Fagan. of Motumaoho, and Mr. Allan William Baker, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Baker, of Newstead. The Rev. J. H. Starnes officiated. The church had been artistically decorated by members of the Motumaoho Bible Class with sprays of white heath forming arches over the aisle from pew to pew, and linked with white streamers. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory crepe satin and georgette, with long georgette sleeves, the skirt of two-tiered flares with uneven hemline drooping to the ankles at the back, and finished with a wide sash and orange blossoms at the side. Her long embroidered tulle veil was held in place with sprays of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and narcissus. The bridesmaid, Miss Joyce Fagan, sister of the bride, wore a frock of green georgette with sleeveless bodice trimmed with ruching and full skirt scalloped at the bottom falling longer at the back and trimmed with little pink bows. Her hat of green felt to tone was trimmed with pink and ahe carried a bouquet of golden chrysanthemums, Iceland poppies and autumn leaves. The little flower girl, Miss Edna Stark, wore a frock of pink georgette, the bodice of which was trimmed with tucks and the :ikirt with tiny frills, and hat of pink felt trimmed with felt flowers to tone. Mr Harold Baker, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held, where Mrs. Fagan received her guests weai'ing a frock of brown wool crepe de chine trimmed with pale apricot silk crepe de chine, brown felt hat trimmed with diamante pin, and fox furs, and she carried a posy of autumn-tinted flowers.
