HENDERSON NEWS.

The presentation of a travelling rug was made by the railway employees of Henderson to Mr. B. Carter, who is retiring after 40 years' continuous service as an engine-driver. This function took place at the residence of his fellowemployee, Mr. J. H. Johnstone, Valley Road, and the majority of the railway workers of Henderson, including the stationmaster, Mr. F. Delany, were present. By unanimous consent Mr. Carter was declared a life member of the Henderson Locomotive Branch. Mrs. Carter was presented with an umbrella.
