UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF.
HAMILTON REGISTRATIONS.
OVER 1000 MEN PLACED

HAMILTON, Tuesday.
Mr. J. A. Young, M.P., has received advice from the Hon. E. A. • Eansom, Minister of Public Works, stating tliat in the past 18 months 10G7 men have been placed on Government works from the Hamilton Labour Registration District, including 279 since January last.
At the beginning ox the present month, the Minister states, arrangements were made for a further 100 men to be provided with employment. About, half of these have already started work, and instructions have now been issued for an additional 30 men to be engaged.
