MINING NEWS.
ALBURNIA. The report of the directors of the Aluburnia G.M. Co. for the half year ended February 28, states that there had not been any fresh developments in the mine. The statement of accounts shows receipts for the half year £1433 5/7, and the expenditure left a balance in the bank on February 2S of £230 1/3. On mine wages £780 17/9 were spent, and £204 10/3 on supplies. A circular has been issued offering to shareholders shares nt twopence on application and twopence on allotment. Arrangements have been made with the Mines Department for a subsidy of £ for £ for the work at present done. One ton of stone and 1841b of picked Rtone from the "Orlando reef returned £128 10/6. The directors state the mine never looked better, as picked stone has been got in no less than nine different placs.
