ARREST AFTER FUNERAL.
WIDOW IN MURDER CHARGE. The widow of Herr Bauer, director of the Middle-German Shipping Co was arrested immediately after her husband s burial in the cemetery at Magdeburg on suspicion of having- caused him to be m Her re friend, Herr Peter, a private detective, was arrested_on suspicion of being the murderer. Herr Bauer disappeared on December .14, and on February 15 his body was.washed up m the Hal'le-Trotha Dock with wounds on the head apparently caused by an axe. It was believed that there were guil'tv relations between Frau Bauer and Peter, and the fact that the murdered man had recently been insured for £M>(> caused the suspicionu that the two nad killed Herr Bauer to get the money-,
