SALE OF PETERWAH.
CHAMPION TROTTER GOES TO STUD. |. -It is- reported in Christchurch that Mr. R. Fisken has sold his. champion trotter, Peterwah, to Mr. A. Hendricksen, of Santa Rosa Farm, and the horse will take up stud duties in August next. With a record of 4.23 4-5 to his credit— a world's race record, by the way, for a straightout trotter—Peterwah can claim to be the best trotter to ever race in the Dominion, and, though he has sired a number of trotters and pacers when mated with mares owned by Mr. Fisken, the' American-bred horse will get more chances when he joins the band at Santa Rosa Farm, and in a year or two he should be represented by good win--ners. Enawah, a pacer, and Great Way, a trotter, are about the best he has yet sired at their particular gaits.
