. The Hon, V. H. Reed, M.L.C;, left for Wellington last evening. The Rev. Dr. S. W. Currie, of Dunedin, is visiting his brother, the Rev. W. 1. Currie, of Epsom. Mr and Mrs. L. V Moses, of Auckland, left by the Rangitiki to-day on a holiday visit to England . Mr and Mrs McEwan (Wellington) and Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Bell (Havelock North) are staying at the Grand Hotel. Grand Hotel guests include: Mr. S. H. Hewlett, Mr. A. Henderson (Christchurch), arid Mr; W. Goldsborough, of Wellington. - Mr. J. Smail (Cliristchurch), Mr. C. K. Scott (England), Mr. S. H Vincent (Wellington) are at Hotel Cargen Mr. S; Bisli commenced his duties on Wednesday as town clerk of Pukekohe and was welcomed at the meeting of the Borough Council on Wednesday evening. Fleming (Wellington) Bishop LiStoii, accompanied by the Rev. Father L. T. Buxton, left for Wellington last evening to attend the cere'mony of laying the foundation stone of the new St. Patrick's College at SiiVerstream. Royal Hotel guests include: Mr. and Mrs. C. Ivleinn (Calcutta), Mr. J. R. Cole (Wellington), Mr. C. A. Bates (TaumarunUi), Mr. F. Palmer (Rangatahe), Mr. L. Gee, Mr. L. Martin (Thames). Mr. Hector MacQuarrie, of Auckland, and Mr. Richard Matthews, of Kaitaia, who drove a small car from Sydney to Cape York, in the north of Queensland, propose to tour the world with the car, and en route to make a lecturing tour of New Zealand.
