DUNEDIN AGREEMENT.
AWARD TO LAtJ T THREE YEARS. (By Telegraph.— 1 Own Correspondent.) DUNEDLY, Friday. A complete agr» einent was arrived at in a conciliation .council respecting the claims made by the Dunedin fire brigades' employees. An increase of 2/6 a week to first-classH firemen was allowed. Employees with -ten years' service will now receive 28 da ys' holiday every year. The following addition was made to the preference clause: "The provisions of this clause sball be operative if, and so long only as, the union remains unaffiliated or not. associated in any manner whatsoever 'with any outside industrial or labour organisation incorporated or otherwise otfi er than the one covering fire brigade era ployeles only, and similarly unaffiliate*! or not associated with any such outsiile organisation." The award -trill remain in force for three years.
