A £30,000 DIAMOND,

BRAZIL'S THIRD LARGEST. The big diamond found some time ago in Brazil is now in possession of a firm of jewellers in Rio de Janeiro, who value the stone at about £30,000, according to "The Brazilian American." It is said to be the third largest diamond ever discovered in Brazil, weighing 128 carats and being pinkish in colour. The jewel, which will be sent to Amsterdam for cutting, was named the Southern Cross by President Washington Luis. ,
