THE LYCEUM CLUB.
There were over 50 tables occupied at the Lyceum Club last*evening, when the bridge, circle held a large open evening. This being the first time the beautiful lounge of the new clubrooms was thrown open to friends, considerable interest was displayed in. the new quarters. Warm fires which burnt in the hearths on each side of the room gave a cosy touch, and blue irises arranged in tall brass vases were placed here and there. The president, Mrs. W. H. Parkes, wore a frock of beige lace, with a black velvet bridge coat. Mrs. S. T. Wicksteed, convener of the circle, wore a frock of draped black ring velvet. Miss Garlick secretary, was in gold lace and cycla men. Amongst the players were: —Mrs. Duncan Clerk, Mrs. Frater, Mrs. Rowse, Mrs. Addlington, Mrs. W. Smith, Misa J. Murray, Miss C. Murray, Mrs. Pegler, Mrs. Watson Airey, Miss F. Murray, Mrs. Somers, Mrs. Bray, Mrs. Fuller, Mrs. E. White, Mrs. Sutherland, Mrs. A. Wi Perkins, Mrs. Keeble, Mrs. Dryden, Mrs. Wallen, Mrs. K. Raymond, iMrs. Stronach, Mrs. Ashton, Mrs. Ward, Mrs. Seaman, Mrs. J. J. Kingston, Mrs. Kirk, Mrs. Keary, Mrs. Rapson, Mrs. Johnston, Mrs. Gillies, Mrs. Fitzherbert, Mrs. Harper, Mrs. Woolcott, Mrs. Clarkson, Mrs. Stubbs, Mrs. Wade, Mrs. Kidd, Mrs. C. The prizes for the evening were won by Mrs. Stewart, Mrs. Bilton and Miss Woolcott.
