WRESTLER INJURED.
FALL CAUSES CONCUSSION,
Slight concussion of the brain was suffered by an amateur wrestler, Roy Pilkington, as the result of being heavily thrown during a wrestling bout at the Town Hall last evening. Pilkington, who lives at 26, Mauawa Road, Remuera, ifl one of the most prominent amateur wrestlers in Auckland and last evening's mishap put an end to what promised to be an excellent contest. Early in the second round Pilkington's opponent lifted him off his feet and threw him to the mat. Pilkington received a severe blow on the side of the head and became unconscious. He was carrie'd from the ring and later was taken to the hospital, where he regained consciousness at midnight. It was reported early this afternoon that Pilkington's condition was not serious, but that he would not be able to leave the hospital for a couple of days. Recently Pilkington was injured in a motor accident and last evening was probably not completely recovered.
