LETTER WRITTEN TO HUSBAND YOUNG GETS PROBATION. Claucle Edgar Young, who was Before the Police Court yesterday on a charge of attempted theft of £22 10/ by writing a letter to a baker named Arthur, was presented. for sentence this morning. • * . : ' : — The magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., said he had received a report from the probation officer about Young. "The report is a little out of the ordinary. I won't fine linn because he cannot pay, so I will admit him to probation for i' 2 months," said Mr." Hunt. Mr. E. A. Singer appeared for accused.
