By covering the distance in the Ashburton County Handicap on Saturday in 4.29 1-5, Mr. H. P. Nieholl's Wackier established a new Australasian record for a three-year-old in a two-mile race. Tu the Sapling Stakes each of the placed horses bettered the previous Australian record of 3.29 4-5 for two-year-oids, lieia bv Wrackler.
