OPOTIKI TOURNEY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, this day. There was a big attendance at the Opotiki Boxing Association's tournament, held last night. Mr. M. Carruthers was referee. During: the interval Mr. J. Moody (patron) presented the trophies won at the previous tournaments.. Results:— Lightweight (three rounds). —E. AVolfenden, !).10 (Opotiki), v. P. llickey. 0.8, 110 decision. Welter-weight (three roundsV—P. Warren. 10.2 (Waioeka) beat K. Marai, 10.3. Middle-weight (three rounds). — Savage, 10.10 (Edgeeumbe), drew with iS. Matehitt, 10.1."! (Opotiki). Middle-weight (three rounds). —S. Clialklin. 11.0 (Tablelands) beat 1). lleretnia, 1-.9 (Otara). # Lightweight (four rounds). —Lvsaght. O.'.i (Opotiki) drew with J. McKav, 9.2 (Gisborne). Featherweight (three rounds).—C. Carruthers, 8.0, drew with It. Parkinson. Welter-weight (four rounds).—C. Parkinson, 11.3 (Opotiki), beat I'. Edwards, 11.7 (Opotiki). Light-weight (three rounds). — E. Day, 0.0 (Opotiki), lost to Luttrell, 05. The bout between \V. Kobertson, 10.1 (uisborne) and C. Craig, 0.(3 (Te Awamutu). was a good tight, though tlieru was too much clinching. The Uisborne man did most leading, but except for the first round did not show up too well. Craig proved himself the better boxer,, smothering and connecting well to the head. There was dissatisfaction when the referee il draw, the majority considering ciaig- the winner.
