An astounding story of prime and incitement to crime was revealed in the Children's Court this morning, when a seventeen-year-old boy pleaded guilty to eighteen charges of theft, involving £100, and his aunt, Elsie Martha Dennis Wright, pleaded guilty to four charges of receiving goods stolen by the boy, knowing the same to have been dishonestly obtained. '"Mrs. Wright is the boy's aunt," said a police officer. "The boy has been stealing for her. He told his parents lie was at work, but every morning at seven ho went to his aunt's house and used it as a base for his operations. He •would go back to his own home about six o'clock. Each week he would give his parents ten shillings, allegedly wages,' but in reality the proceeds of some robbery." "The woman is dangerous in any community and should be put out o*f the way,' , said the magistrate. "She is sentenced to six months with hard labour." The magistrate ordered that the boy be placed under the care of the Superintendent of Child Welfare, with a recommendation that he be sent to Weraroa.
