WAR INJURIES BLAMED.
RETURNED SOLDIER'S SUICIDE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday.
That he committed suicide while in a depressed state of mind was the verdict returned by the coroner, Mr. H. P. Lawry, S.M., at the inquest concerning the death of Peter Hunt, who was found dead in his house at New Brighton last evening. Evidence was given by friends of Hunt to the effect that he had suffered acutely from war injuries, especially in cold damp weather. He always had been of a morbid disposition and recently seemed more than usually morbid. He had also been in a very excitable, nervous condition about February 25, when he was last seen alive. ■
