PBLIC SERVICE ASSOCIATION.
THE XEW OFFICE-BEARERS. There was a fair attendance at the annual meeting of the Public Service Bowling Association, held in the Labour Department's office. Mr. R. Lanigan presided. The annual report stated that two successful tourneys had been held during 1 the year, and it was significent that the pairs tourney was most popular and commanded a record entry. This competition, was won by Mcßeth and Campbell, Justice Department. The full rink tourney was won by a rink from the Lands and Survey Department. The balance sheet disclosed a sound financial state of affaire. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: President, Mr. J. W. Eeaves, Railway Department; vice-pre-sident, Mr. J. A. Godfrey, Lands and Survey Department; hon. secretary. Mr. C. G. Maher, Lands and Survey Department; hon. treasurer. Mr. J. A. Godfrey; hon. auditor, Mr. J. Lane, Lands and Survey Department: committee, Messrs. Lanigan (Police), Colthurst (Railway), Campbell (Justice), Wyatt (Telegraph), Hollows (Labour), Reed (Railway), Fletcher (Postal). Regarding: the tournament. It was decided to have five games of 12 heads, section ties to play five heads, and intersection play to be of not less than seven heads. The action of the two cjubs, Epsom and Remuera, in granting the use of greens was warmly commented -upon. A very hearty vote of thanks was passed to the outgoing president on the capable manner in which he had looked after the affairs of the association during his term of office. The annual tourney will be held on the Epsom, green on Friday week. At a subsequent meeting of the new executive the following were appointed as a match committee: Messrs. J. A. Godfrey, R. Lanigan, and C. G. Maher.
